At Its a Girls Thing (IAGT), we believe in the power of resilience, transformation, and opportunity. Founded in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, IAGT was born from a vision fueled by passion, commitment, and the generosity of those who believed in our mission. Our founder, a former teen mother, understood firsthand the challenges young girls face—both in their personal lives and in a world that often underestimate them. Witnessing the exploitation and struggles of girls in her native land only deepened her resolve: Change couldn’t wait. It had to start now.

 

Our mission is to empower and uplift teen mothers, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and support needed to thrive. We are a first-of-its-kind, gamified, confidence-building movement designed to break cycles, build resilience, and create lasting self-sufficiency.

 

What makes us unique? We go beyond traditional programs by integrating technology, mentorship, community engagement, and incentives into an engaging, transformative experience. Our gamified rewards system keeps young moms motivated as they progress in parenting, education, career development, and personal growth. Through The Story Project, we help them turn struggles into strength, while our Mompreneur Program fosters financial independence. Our digital mentorship support system ensures round-the-clock support, and our sisterhood community provides a safe space for connection and encouragement.
